Hi all, We are, finally, moving off the mountain, down into the valley, 1,100m lower.... My pondering is... I'm going to use the bus to move stuff. Haven't used it for this before, is it worth taking out the sink/cooker unit. (it's a westfalia)
Is it a continental? Just two nuts behind the front seat and tilt forward so the plumbing lifts clear of the floor and it’s done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry to interrupt but the kettle will take longer to boil at lower altitudes because the atmospheric pressure is higher.
Yes it’s not difficult to remove Just remember to lie it down or stand it on some blocks because the pipe work sticks out the bottom You will get loads in with it out the way . Also if put the bed down you will be surprised how much you can get in. Good luck
Thanks all. To keep expense down... We'll use the bus. Take out the cooker/sink unit. I've done it once... So second time should be even easier, right?
You might be thinking of cooking times which are longer at high altitudes because the water boils at a lower temperature. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-altitude_cooking
And there’s less oxygen so generally that equals less heat from your heat source. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
