Two good genuine (i think) headers for a type 4 oval port. £25 each. Two U bend exhaust pipes, triangle flange, usa spec, connects the header to the back of the triangle flanged usa spec heat exchanger. I think these are reproduction but appear good quality. £25 each. I bought these just in case i couldn't re-use my oem parts when i swapped my heat exhangers over for some without holes. Turns out i was worrying unnecessarily and i managed to re-fit the original parts without issue, hence these are no longer needed. Both had surface rust on when i got them so i gave them a quick rub down and some vht silver paint to protect them. Not been fitted since. Collection preferred (Oxford) but i could probably post these if you really wanted, provided you're willing to pay the postage Any questions let me know. Untitled by Rob E, on Flickr
No. The headers connect into the heads but points towards the front of the bus, the u section connects from the header to the back of the usa spec heat exchanger. You *could* potentially turn the headers around and use them to make up some J tubes (and do away with the heat exchangers) if you're handy with a welder - is that what you're thinking?
this is the layout: The J tubes point towards the front of the bus then the U bend reverses it through the US style heat exchangers, item 11 and then to a crossover pipe from the opposing identical heat exchanger. Barry's system is different, his will be euro spec system components
Thanks @MorkC68 i was just about to go and google that image Yes, these are parts 34 (header) and 35 (u pipe) as per that diagram. Two of each, they are interchangeable side-to-side. N.b. i also have #11 heat exchanger repro for sale on my other thread.
it was fresh on my mind as I just binned the cali set up off Major the guy at the recycling centre got quite exited when I started unloading my car boot
