  1. A mate of mine has offered me these for £300 snibs. Are these any good? Would they fit my bay? What else would I need to buy? How the feck do you fit/set them up? A lot of questions I know but he wants em gone quick and i'm don't have the time to research atm. Its a 1641 type 1 engine. Cheers in advance

  2. I thought they were like ford carbs?
I was under the impression that the webers had to be DRLA's
Interested to know the outcome if this myself as dcnf appear to be more available.

  3. No idea. I have just posed the question so I will let you know

They won't fit, weber idf's are what you need or delorto drla's

  5. Yeah that's what I meant, was just retyping.

  6. They CAN be made to fit but it ain't easy and they don't work as well. Design is an issue as is fuel supply and float bowls. The DCNF is considered an 'obsolete' now. IMHO. See below.
    Taken from The Samba:-
There's a reason the DCNF wasn't a very popular carb for VW performance builds. IDF's, IDA's, Dell DRLA's all have much better design for fuel supply than the DCNF...........
