Well I for one and most of the western world will not pander to the Chinese regime whatever form it comes in. It's greed that fires this and because of the way humans are made, it will never stop. There will always be conflict in the world. If I win the big lotto anytime I'm going to buy an Island somewhere and all you lot can come and live in peace with me and mine.

 

That’s an interesting point you make.
The Industrial Revolution surpassed their previous excellence - i’m thinking. British, and others, colonising areas like Hong Kong and Macau (by nefarious means it has to be said) cemented the dominance. Mao took them backwards a country mile, and then some.
Since then it’s been up, up and away...thanks to the West’s investment at the expense of morals.
Someone has to be top dog and I wouldn’t mind China being that, if their traditional culture had survived the Capitalist Communist Party.

Today is the anniversary for the trailer release of Transmission 6-10.

As with everything to do with the production, there are layers of meaning to discover.

The trailer is 94 seconds long.

If every frame represented the death of 20 people, the figure would be the lowest estimate of how many practitioners of Falun Gong have been killed since the persecution began in 1999 (47,000...higher estimates are hundreds of thousands).

If every frame represented 30,000 deaths, the figure would approximate the number of Chinese citizens who have died because of their own government since 1949 (70,500,000 and rising).

If you invested US$61.0 for every frame of the trailer, you could buy a human heart from a Falun Gong practitioner in China:
2350 x 61.0 = US$143,350.00 ... millions await this fate.

Yes, first the British, then the Americans, is it China's turn again? I don't often agree with Trump, but the West's moral free investment policy, as you cleverly call it, has given China a powerful industrial base while much of everyone else's has declined by similar amounts.

Today, sadly, Hong Kong no longer exists. A ‘National Security Law’ has been passed which essentially means anyone can be arrested (and disappeared) who the CCP deem to be a threat. They feel threatened by almost everyone, such is their insecurity!

The West, in particular Britain and the U.N, has had ample time and opportunity to force China to honour the Sino-British Joint Declaration (drafted in ‘85...initiated in ‘97). It speaks volumes to the current world dynamic that they have done nothing to prevent 7.5million innocent people waking up today in a police state.

The threat of being treated like Mainland China citizens is what this all comes down to, as anything can happen to an individual if the CCP disagree with who you are as a person.

On July 20th 1999, the most extensive, horrific and ignored oppression of human rights began to unfold. A Genocide. Covered up by coercion, collusion, propaganda & spin, the power and influence of its initiators has led to a global population unaware of the truth.
