In the modern world the story of the tattoo is just as varied and convoluted. People are fascinated with tattoos, and more people are getting them every year, yet workplaces tend to say that they must be covered in order for you to work. That’s supposing that having one doesn’t cost you the job to begin with. Tattoo Day raises awareness about tattoos and their ancient and respected history and seeks to change the view the world has for them. I have not a one.

I've got one my left arm around the bicep. It was supposed to be a band all the way around but it hurt that bloody much I made him stop. I've been muttering that I will get it finished one day. To be honest, I had this done about 25 years ago so I don't think it ever will!!!!!!
I have one on my right arm. I had it done in Heidelberg I think I would like one on my left arm for symmetry but can’t decide what. I may have a dragon, or an owl. when I was younger I thought if I had any they would be of my 3 loves - Capris, Man Utd and my cat Merlin .
the original design had a circle of flames around it but the bossy tattooist said my arm wasn’t big enough so ditched them!
