  3. Oestrogen in the water supply has also been blamed for fish changing sex and high amounts in our water supply due to inadequate filtration from women on the contraceptive pill peeing (we always get blamed!). Also foods high in phytoestrogens, soy milk etc may have a part to play.

Bugger only knows but we’ve certainly screwed things up.

My concern with a lot of these kids is that they’re self diagnosing without any real investment or investigation into their mental wellbeing. Counselling and therapies are time consuming and costly, puberty blockers less so.
Aren’t there also a high proportion of young people on the autism spectrum who are also self identifying as trans too - I just hope more research and care is taken before these young people take such drastic steps.

Is this evolution in progress? Long ago, sex was used for making babies. These days it's just for pleasure so perhaps we don't need separate genders anymore and we are merging into a hermaphroditic species.

apparently it was rife in roman and greek times , its just that they didn't have internet/media in them days. To me I couldn't careless its just another variation of humanity indeed I even think autism itsn't a defect just a variation Its just another part of people

So maybe we don't need gender either. We are all becoming gender fluid or gender neutral??

  9. if gender is a social construct then it will always be/have been fluid

But ladies prefer gay men, who dance better, dress better and don't hit on them at the end of the night, like bald fat blokes do. :D

Just watching "Strictly" now and am wondering if (and when) they will ever put a male with a male or a female with a female. It is surely inevitable but when will it happen?

The Bugis (c. 3 million population) for about 6 centuries have believed gender to be on a scale, rather than binary, with 5 main gender groups:

that’s an interesting read. A shame that hard liners are so intolerant of anyone different to themselves as it seems that the Bugis were quite happy with their style of society and everyone was safe within it.

  19. I get muddled with all these different labels. Here's my take on it. My mum was queer,my uncle was queer,my ex neighbours were queer, loads of our friends are queer, Birdy is queer. My youngest has transgender friends ( i had to ask him what it meant) My daughter goes out with a drag queen who acts queer....................and they are all lovely people. I know straight folk that are absolute tossers, I'm sure there are tossers in the gay world as well , never met one yet. If the world was tolerant as a whole it would be such a lovely place to live. I think it's ok to use the Q word no offence if it,s not. Love you all xxx
