That's good to hear. :) I've started a suggestions thread, it's easy for me, I wake up and fancy going camping and walking, I then get in van and go via supermarket for stores. Any day, any time, any distance. Living the dream. :) I can fit in with anyone's ideas for a walking weekend without any worry at all. Suggest and I will come.

I joined the ccc. They have all the best sites so for £42 it was mad not to. Got me money back already it's like buying a rail card.

Nope, we stayed there before we joined the C & CC

I agree, I'd always resisted joining a 'camping club', it always smacked of conformity to me but after we joined last year I've discovered that hundreds of sites are so tucked away that we'd never have found them using our 'look out the window for camping signs'.
Having said that we've been unfortunate enough to spend a night on some sites which reminded me of boot camp when I first joined the RAF.
As for getting people to join on your walks, you have you tried bribery?

I joined when I got here but it was after loads of googling sites over the past year and realising it was a good move. They're all versions of Ed when the chips are down, it's the only way to get PP for a site without argument. We have a labour politician from the 60's to thank, she pushed a law through parliament. I forget her name. Barbara something? Vote labour!

When you didn't come to see Jools in Norfolk we stayed on a fantastic CCC site. Just a water tap, massive field with oak trees and we walked to the concert. :)

  10. So was it just @zedders then in the end? Well done, photos look pretty magic.

I also did some lovely (but as you predicted, hungover) walking in the rain on Saturday in the Todmorden/Hebden Bridge area... didn't take any pictures though. You could have joined us, but maybe this one wasn't meant to be.
