Just done 30 minutes treadmill. Not much quality to it, but at least it's 3 runs this week :)

  5. Well not as good as Bernjb56, but second run of the week.

5K in 28 minutes so 1 minute improvement.

    1k at 10 kmph
    1K at 10.5 kmph
    2k at 11 kmph
and pushed the last K at 11.5 kmph so happy with today's effort although legs ache now LOL

  10. For all of those of you starting out and hurting. I started running 6 years ago not having done any exercise for 18 years. The first few weeks were agony. The bottom of my spine hurt, my shins hurt, I got stitches all the time and my feet swelled up. Just keep going. It WILL pass and it WILL get more enjoyable.

One of the best things I ever started. No matter how crap life gets, a run is a surefire way of making you feel 100% better. Run well friends.

4 miles tonight , nice evening for running :)

  13. Went for my second run but it turned into a run a bit and then walk a bit kinda thing.

Plan to go out thursday and hopefully do less walking.

Well done to TLB Running Club, we've managed over a week!

  14. I did a few 10 minute sessions on my treadmill last week but it's soooooo boring so I've bought a tv to put infront of it so hopefully it will encourage me to last longer  I have other gym equipment that I really enjoy using I just seem to have issues with my treadmill

  15. Did my first run of this year today.. used to do cross country all the time when in school so did one today ..about 4/5 miles on a bit of pavment but mostly cross country :) and it was hard going having done none for nearly 2 years :(

Hope everyone else is doing well on theirs! :)

  16. got up early this morning, went for a very long walk...i think i needed a rest day, but wanted to do something so walked my springers for 14.5 miles long the cornish coast....very tired now but got a good satisfied feeling and my legs are killing ::)

  17. Well done to everyone who's still perceiving with getting fit :D

Went for another run last night, 5K in 27.5 mins, 30seconds better than last time.

Everything hurt, couldn't get comfortable, and hated every minute of it! and to top it all at the 4 K mark song changed on ipod to 'Showdown' by ELO which when running sounded for all the world like slow down!!!! not very motivational!
