  3. 1st run today, 1.7 miles rest a couple of days then out again. It's a year to the day almost since I tore the cartridge in my left knee. Had an op end of march and been resting since but seems ok after that

  4. Well done a great start.

I just need to shift my cough before I can attempt anything. Nothing worse than collapsing due to fits of coughing!!

    ^^^ no comment

Got a text from the guy I've been running with for the past 15 years, so going tonight to do some. Much easier when you make a firm arrangement to meet someone, then you do it, whatever the weather.

First started running about 15 years ago when I joined a gym and a group used to go out a couple of nights for a run. There were about 10 of us to start - now, because of people moving on etc., there's just 2 of us left :(

But if we say we are going to run we do, because otherwise you are letting a mate down, so it works pretty well.

Hopefully 4 miles later, in the wind and rain..........

  13. Does running on my treadmill count? If so I'm in :p

  14. I did my exam this morning, did a for hour train journey, came home and went out jog/walking for 30 mins although in all honesty it was a lot harder as I was running into the gale force wind and driving rain :shiver: home for a bit of dinner and an early night to night :)

  17. Right just returned from the gym......ran for the first time in 9 months. Managed 5K in 29 mins.
    First 2 K at 11km/ph
and then 10 km/ph for the next 2.
    Final K at 10.5

Just got home and can hardly walk LOL! Used to be able to run 5K in 24mins so some way to go to beat my PB.

    Going to lay down now!

Just done similar. Didn't stray outside in the end but managed to run for 35 minutes on the treadmill. Going to be a long way back to fitness :(

  19. Suppose we have to start somewhere!
