But if you’d like to take anything more than a pair of knickers in your handbag that’ll be another £20, and if you want to come back again that’ll be another £80, sit with your mate? That’s another £10 each, each way. Ryan Air are gits for the extras!
Agreed but they can be played at there own game , don’t wear knickers n get someone abroad to book yr return ooops I ment wear knickers
You only need it for the way out - when you are still speaking and looking forward to being with them!!
I think most of my friends are more than happy if I sit in a different part of the plane as I’m usually asleep before take off! It’s more the fact that if you let them automatically allocate seats (ie don’t cough up the money) they will always give you a middle seat. They don’t even have a pocket on the back of the seat in front for a paperback or your iPod!! And they cottoned onto the fact that everyone got small cabin bags so they didn’t have to pay for hold luggage, so now Ryan Air charge for that too! I know it’s still cheap, and that’s why I fly with them.... no complaints; but I’d be hard pushed not to have to pay at least some add ons.
Sorry, I fell asleep. Think Sunday caught up with me We haven't finalised any plans for where to go though I think I will lose the battle of wanting to take the camper. Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
It's crazy. I'd love to spend the whole summer touring, but it's the busiest time of the year so ferries or flights are at their dearest and the lovely idyllic places would be rammed. North Africa would be fantastic, saying all this I've only been as far as France or Ireland before. Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
The great thing about a road trip is that you can pack the camper without worrying about if it is an absolute essential or just a maybe and if you don't like a resort or a place you stop at, you can just drive off to another place. Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
Plus there’s not the stress of being late for the flight. You could of course be late for the ferry/tunnel but it’s easier to get bumped onto the next one. I find it tons more relaxing driving as although it’s a long drive you can stop when/where you want and it’s an adventure . I struck lucky this time driving to Spain in October as it was still in the 20’s in Spain and France. It was fiesta week in Zaragoza, film festival in Sitges and we could sit outside for the evening in Amboise Had I realised earlier we may even have gone to the Lyon/Man City game in Lyon!
But I can see the other side of the coin, flying somewhere is quicker and you can get to some amazing places. I guess I'll just have to hope we pick somewhere that is okay (within the budget) and find some things to do there - the girls are suggesting a £400 scuba diving course!!!!!
I think that’s the crux of it though, isn’t it? Gainfully employed as most of us still are, time and holiday allowance is an issue unless we jack it all in and head to the sun ..... flying means you get to the destination almost instantaneously, where driving makes the journey part of the adventure but gives you much less time where you are actually going- plus you still have to drive back. I think the situation dictates the plan. For the record if anyone does fancy just jacking it and heading to the sun, give me a shout... there’s petrol in the camper and I’ve got my flip flops at the ready
i hope they're toe post ones, none of this sandal business and calling them *flip flops! *this drives me nuts when i'm looking for new flip flops and you get desert docs recommended
I could never get on with flip flops, though crocs are the devil's shoes. Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
i've driven down to the south of france a few times and while the journey's were great we nearly expired without air con!
Was that the tea towel time? I'm also not sure how pasty me will cope in a hot climate, flying or road trip !!! Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
Ha ha rest assured, proper flip flops!! I’ve a friend who has, out of the blue, decided Birkenstocks are the way forward. I’m not even sure we can still be friends ( I can’t bring myself to even mention those other ones with the holes )
