Tlb guest interview desert island disc style

    Following on from lmpds brill desert island thread i wondered if anyone would like like to be interviewed on a open forum in a similar way to guests on desert i d .

    There are set questions to the interview and the interviewee would nominate the next guest after completing their post .

    for it to work we would need members to stay on topic and be as truthful as possible ,at the end of their post we could have some feedback comments until the next nominated guest begins his/her post .

    i will nominate the first guest and these are the set questions - video song inserts allowed .


    format thus -

    Ok so i nominate lmpd , having met him at camperjam and being shocked sober by him dressed in blue i took to the guy right away , i would like to know a little more about him - in a mate sort of way .

    Thank you very much, I'm supposed to be rubbing down the paintwork in our hall and instead, I've spent an hour writing about music and VWs.................................it's a win/win situation!!! :)) :)) :))

    We've always camped and loved it, but as the winter and early spring came around we camped less and less. Then one summer in Cornwall, we saw tons of campers and I asked Julie, 'What's that?' and one thing led to another and voilà we found ourselves mooching around Greater Manchester looking at a whole host of really mangy buses. Ian, Julie's brother found Wilma and journey began ...

    not life long as in ever since a nipper, but can't really imagine life without one now

    can't wait for Camperjam, we've worked through the year of shows and now just go to the ones we enjoy

    1 -- What got you into late bays .

    I have always wanted one but due to many years of alcohol & drug abuse i never had the funds or motivation to pass my driving test let alone own a Late Bay. Luckily i wised up and sorted my sorry ass and passed my test and married Donnups who shared my admiring eye at the Late Bay.

    2 - what is the first song you would have on your desert island and why .

    The Prodigy - Rhythm of Life

    Banging tune that sends shivers up and down my spine and makes me want to dance like a lunatic everytime i hear it.



    3 - do you regard yourself as a lifelong vw fanatic or are you just going through a phase in your life .

    I wouldnt say a lifelong fan but certainly once i got in to my 20's the interest grew. The very first time i drove Rusty i fell in love completely. There will be no going back now.

    Robbie Williams - Come Undone

    At a stage in my life where i relised i had destroyed my life this tune hit me like a ton of bricks. Straight in to the heart. Robbie was singing to me and i took major inspiration from this track and his work when i started on the road to sobriety. Helped me through some dark times and gave me the courage to clean up my act. Maybe its because he's the same as me in that sense.

    Having on recently become an owner of a Late Bay our presents at VW shows has been limited to just the 2 but this is something that will change over the years. Hope to meet with you all very soon and put some names to faces.

    8 - Could you ever see yourself making a living from your vw passion .

    No but only due to knowing bugger all about mechanics but who knows i may well learn something one day so never say never but i doubt it :))
