you can mount them vertical or horizontal i thought? but yes you are correct the 2 i have here do have the dial on the top so if you put it upright you can't see it.
i've just opened mine and if you look they have helpfully written in feltpen mount upright or this side down on the body of the unit so, if you mount it on the spare wheel well you may be able to view the gauge through the service hatch (if you have one) or alternatively i'm now thinking of putting mine by the side of the leisure battery as i have no heater pipes going through the tin so it would be ok there for me, i'm gonna fit on friday so i'll know for deffo then how i go.
I eagerly struggled to got mine out of the box, then realised it had a big tie wrap holding it secure for transport :
If mine turns up tomorrow along with my new drive away I may actually pop with giddiness. Although it won't help the receptionists to think I am any less strange than they already do :
got mine yesterday, thanks Jen. Just trying to work out the best way to fit it now. Is anyone using self-tapping screws instead of the supplied bolts? I cannot see how to use the bolts if I mount it on the roof of the engine bay.
Got mine, looking to fit at the weekend. ta Jen, you are an angel with the patience of a saint! I did laugh at the part of the instruction found inside the box which told me not to open the box with a sharp blade. Too late!
Got mine today. It was delivered to our maintenance dept who seemed very confused that someone in finance was ordering fire extinguishing equipment! ) Thanks Jen
