Started some bramble vodka off today for the winter hipflask Take a bunch of brambles and wash them off Put them in a container you can seal and add a good covering of sugar Add the vodka and seal up then give it a good shake Store in a cool dark place and shake once a day After a month the bits can be strained out and extra plain vodka added untill it gets to your required taste
Anyone tried any other Woodforde's kits? I'm currently drinking Woodforde Wherry, but our local brew shop has got a special offer on all Woodforde kits this month and I wondered if anyone's got any other recommendations: http://thebrewmart.com/woodfordes-brewery-c219.html
American IPA is happening this Sunday. Have to order twice as many hops as usual so hoping for a nice hoppy 7% but looks like it will be at least 2 weeks in the fermenter before I get to taste it.
That sounds intriguing, do you need to open the container at all to let any pressure out? What ratios of blackberries/sugar and vodka?
I am thinking maybe next year inviting small groups down to brew their own recipes or combining a TLB tour of my brewery with another local slightly bigger outfit. Either way we could make us some TLB Beer and I could bring the bottles to the following TLB camp. Maybe we could have a TLB brew off? Any interest?

No pressure and its all amounts by what you feel at the time If it ends up a syrup at the end just thin it out with cheap vodka
