tiny and stephen get there first project and its a 20 millionth edition

  1. this morning i had a few friends come around to help lift of the body , only thing was i haddened diconnected the anti roll barrs speedo steering and wires to the starter lol , of with the doors to lighten the load , 10 minutes later of it came ,colm them scrapped the crapp around the frame head and blew it all of to leave a lovely clean area, now i can get the last of the welding finished , ie ends of the napp hats on the body , behind the heater channel end plates ,etc , body was then set on tresels owen nw colm and the helpers lol

  2. to night i sprayed 2 bottles of keroseen as degreaser on to the chassiss and gear box front beam and will let it soak until to morrow , then colm can power wash till his heart is content lol ,
    chassiss is in great nick owen nw

  3. to day we sprayed the inside all the gaps etc of the nw rear panel , then drilled out the spot welds on the front ps bumper hanger , then removing it to reveal the extent of the rot which turned out not to bad so i repaired it rather than replace with a new panel it turned out well ,
    on the other hand the wee helper OWner tiny power hosed the chassis all down he had a blast lol , i then went round and finished it lol owen wn tiny

  5. this morning i spent the time rebuilding the ds front bumper hanger in the same way as the ps one bit needed just s tad more work , ithen ground down all the welds and the areas inside to tidy them up follwed with a coat of paint to seal them and some seam sealers , looks very tidy , ithem removed the water trapp ie the bonnet seal stripps ill rep;lace with mexican clip[ on seals . ithen cut out the rot at the bottom of the nats hats where the body meets the chassis , and remade these too , just the back end now to finish , owen nw

  7. fair play mate , thats a lot of work and you are really getting stuck in to it ,, when you finished that one theres another 19,999,999 to do ;)

  9. to day i finished welding the out side edges of the ends of the heater channel end plates , and drilled out the body mount as it had hidden rot behind it , so out with the grinder , i remade the part needed , replaced it and seam welded it on and pluged back on the mount , i also had to fix a bent part on the ds inner rear arch and reweld that to , now down to the last of the welding , which i will do tomorrow , BEER TIME , owen nw

  10. WELDING NOW FINISHED , done the last of it today , ds rear b post , done , back of the ds end plate done , had to do a small bit on the lip of the door , again as it wasn t welded enough , , now all welds coated with ZINC PRIMER , AS WELL AS INSIDE THE DOOR SKINNS

    Tidy work bud-keep it up. Plenty help on hand there. Still sporting flip-flops in the workshop I see! A legend at work 8)
     
  12. ah moggsy thats all i wear , every day and in winter lol , the backs broke on it haven t touched it in a week , need to get motivated again owen nw :eek:
     
  13. colm got tore in flattening the doors with 320 and the wings with 80 and 120 , i went round gringing cleaning filling , let the body work begin,wings now coated inside in zinc primer owen nw

    wing had a very badly welded in patch over an old wing indicator mount , so of with it to revel that they hadnt even painted it ??????????????????

  16. to day even more body work , the bloody paint that some one painted it before is given me nothing but bother , the car is covered in micro blisters , telling me it was painted in a damp shed , but ill get there , fill rub fill , i had one quarter panel ie front finished filled yold colm to da it down with 120 , he did and sandedd of all the fillers too, even after i showed him what to do and marked it with a pencil , ah well , its done now lol ,
    had to do a small repair on the edge of the door and lower frame ,

  18. to day lots of rubbing rubbing rubbing , chipping , welding etc etc , colm descaled the ole underseal of the bottom of the chassis , easy enough most just flew of , the rest had to be chipped , thanks to be god only found a few hidden suprises to be repaired but was happy enough , repaired the side rail on the back of the ps rear floor , most of the body work is now done some to recheck and prime , tiny mad an appearence and done some sanding then stephen had a turn , just goes to show what they pic up watching lol owen nw colm tiny stephen

  19. if you look close u can see ive drawn a line to where i need to fill out to , for a proper line for the wing and panel to be right so of with the wing and fill
