Tinware Hole and Suggestions to Teplace

  1. I should say - running a T1 1600 twin port engine

  2. The big hole should have a pipe going to the air filter to draw warm air in when cold, the other holes should have pre heat pipes going down from the manifold ?

And and probably a non standard air filter if you're missing the pre heat pipe above the exhaust ??

  8. You possibly have some nice original tin, never seen with the plate that covers the heat risers, most new ones are a stamped out hole

  11. Great looking engine.... I think I'll blank off the preheat - I read 2 bean tin lids will do for now.... thanks for sharing

  12. I also need a blanking plate or similar for this hole, if anyone knows where to get them or knows something that fits in the hole?

  15. Looks like the same tinware as mine - I'm just going to blank off the pre heat hole

  16. Use a hole saw and cut a couple of round discs from steel/ally and bolt them together either side of the hole. DSCN1847.JPG
