FOR SALE Tin top bay window

  1. IMG_3388.PNG IMG_3004.JPG IMG_3136.JPG Im using it too much and it's also getting hammered out there in the road picking up dings from passing builders trucks. It should be locked away in a garage and not used ever to save it from this life of use. It's my only car and I'm thinking it might be a waste, as it declines. Drive it all over winter, which always breaks something which I then fix (in a half assed way). Got an propex and underslung lpg tank heating system. Im still alive so it must be ok! My bus runs on lpg and petrol, into a 2l engine, which is well oily. I'm always putting oil in and I think it mostly just comes out all over it underneath. This stops the engine and tinware getting rusty. Saved loads on lpg, you would too whIch gives the same kind of economy as a Ford Fiesta. Mostly local urban trips then big long 1-200mile motorway runs to somehwere hilly. Only goes at 55mph because I'm too cautious from the bay window 'hard knock school of the yellow taxi'. You shouldn't drive these busses on motorways...but I always do. Engine is 'primitive'. A rebuild would be in the cards if I was OCD, as you can tell I'm not. All I do is change the oil all the time and do the valves..sometimes wipe excess oil off the tin. And fix things when they break.

It's RHD and the chassis is unwelded ever, the body work has no filler apart from where I did the two rear arches. Well that was a fail and needs doing again, I've learnt nothing in life. But I guess it's slowed the rot there. I've sorted the doors which did have the start of problems from blocked drain holes. Replaced the cracked windscreen, but the new rubber was too small. Needs doing again with another rubber. Didn't get a chance to super smooth when replaced. But it's ok under there, despite appearances

Here's the pics. High up in Wales at new year and enroute to a festival full of crap in the summer. The rear bench seat is waaaaay more comfy than yer foam, so it's a keeper. It's tax free and soon to be MOT exempt. Its even half price parking her in London, due to lpg. So really only costs the insurance per year. And oil. It should be costing me more.

    Why I'm I selling , well at this rate...I won't be :)
    Sincerely
    Confused of London

  2. Just seeing what's it's like posting in late bay classifieds. Thought it might be full of 'services' offered by Late Bay forumers (I mean taxi rides etc!). Got it started on the second battery now. Not selling it anymore :)

    Don’t Start...calm down calm down :)

Seems a shame to waste this thread.. anybody wanna buy a Nokia WiFi weighing scales, in the box. Does BMI stuff (whatever that is) and monitors everything (including your surfing habits probably). Dunno how small it goes, might even weigh out sixteenth’s. Boxed. £15 .. no time wasters or tyre kickers !

Like the scales. Are they all original? Ever been welded? Got any pics of the underside?

You have an incredibly heavy foot there dude.

  14. As you can see The roof racks full of wind (guess who I bought it off?).

Well spotted on the Parma violets. Probably integrated into the uppholstery by now. But can scrape them put if interested.

My foot isn’t usually that heavy, just haven’t changed socks for a bit.
