on my type 1 engine i have an aftermarket bottom pully and most of the marks are starting to fade, i have the engine out at moment so was going to repaint it and then engrave new marks back in. what marks do i need to put on tdc of course 7.5 degrees before tdc, is that to the left or right as you look at it and the marks when at full advance 28 to 30 cheers guys
7.5* will be to the right (clockwise) from TDC. 30* will be even further round to the right. I'd buy a new pulley, if I were you .
I"d fit /refit the heavy one that the bus had fitted(good coming from me ,last year drove 12miles>shrugs)
