FOR SALE Time to say Goodbye

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by stooboo, Sep 26, 2016.

  1. I have recently sold my house where Theresa (Green) was kept in a garage and moved to a retirement home overlooking the beach and I don't want her to deteriorate from her rust free state. I purchased her 6 years ago as a rough Left Hooker from Sweden the advantage being that I wasn't removing somebodies get through MOT bodges but I was removing Wolfsburg rust which made the restoration easier. Tin top and the roof and gutters are too good to replace with a pop top, she is fitted with a Westy Berlin interior plus a Porta Potti. There are receipts for the work and parts which come to too much to mention. The bodywork repairs were done by S Mcabe motors of Boston and I did the rest. She has a 1.7 type 4 motor which has been reliable and is on the original carbs. Electronic ignition is fitted as is a leisure battery. Two worry gauges fitted, a Voltmeter and a Cylinder Head temp Gauge. The motor has been regularly serviced by myself (ex bike mech) and is oil tight. MOT til 9 May 17 and Tax Free. Insurance is pennies (could be cos I am old). Mileage 44188 K.The van is at Skegness phone 01754 767852. The price is £9000.

  3. Thanks I sold a Hymer to raise the money to do it and SWMBO has never forgiven me. If she was 100% in favour I would prob find and rent a garage but I have had a good run. Stu

  7. Thanks for that, it is a nice bus, though I have no doubt not being a pop top limits the market.

That's probably right but pop top for practicality, for looks you can't beat an unspoilt tin top . GLWS

  9. Thanks for that, with an awning the lack of headroom is not so bad, and as the roof is in such good condition it would have been wrong (to me anyway) to have cut it.
