Throttle cable conduit above the gear box

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by dave smith, Aug 10, 2017.

  1. Hi all

Any advice on replacing the throttle cable conduit above the gear box, the old cable was stuck inside so I had to remove it now I have a new cable it won't go back.
What am I missing, I made the foolish mistake of thinking it would all go back together the way it came apart.

    Many thanks in advance
    Dave

  2. Do you mean the flexible bit? As I recall, it's either pushed or crimped on.

  3. My one pushed on .....eventually!

  4. the old one might have been rusted in ,do not remove the old one...:D

like a bike cable ,lubrication is the way forwards or replace is better...
