it is genuine or one someone has built? it looks pretty good

 

I think its a self build

If not then ive never heard of a brazilian 4wd before and would be interested in any info on them

 

I've fancied building a 4wd bay for a while now!!

 

That could change my opinion of Brazilian bays!!! 8)

it's also one of those funny half split / half bay / half left over parts things

Put it this way do it properly so its a demonstator and if i like it after a drive and lots of questions

Dont want any of that modern electronic muck on my bus engine lol

Did any tractors use flat four engines?

 

plus you can get custom flywheels made, so potentially you could run it with a type 1 on it

 

My whole bus is being built around the kiss principle lol

Hence no alloys as a steel wheel can be bashed into shape with a rock unlike an alloy lol

Its the pure simplicity of aircooled dubs that i admire the most

 

Thats whats great about dubs

Two more or less indentical vehicles in the simple sense and two owners with fifferent ideas and plans
yet discussing it with no one upmanship in mind

I think too many years of working at the side of the road have knocked my engineering ambition lol

 

I get where you are with the side of the road.. but with me that just drives me on!!

The fish has only broken down on me twice... once when the accelerator cable broke, but I was underway half hour later (had a spare) and the 2nd time, the cheapy facet fuel pump died when it got wet... fixed that by installing a cb rotary pump that's fully sealed

 

Aircooled dubs and make do and mend used to go hand in hand
Now there worth good money its not the same

I still love chrome dont get you home lol

 

That brazilian bay is a factory build prototype i think.

vw made a few 4x4 prototypes many years ..read it in camper n bus ...but they didnt go into production ...ill find the mag and scan the page for ya when im home
