Ice on the screen, no heater, no fan, but i wanted to come to work in the van today so i could pick my trailer up (keep it there) and fill up with fuel for this afternoons trip, so at half 8 this morning i went out to start it and head off to work, connect the battery up (leave it disconnected - on one of them quick release) key in and wind it over......it's having none of it, try again, no joy, do the man thing and go to the back and look at the engine and waggle a few bits about (cos bolly likes it when i do that)....get in and tell her not to be silly, she replies "but i've been in the cali sun for the last 33 years rick, what's this stuff on the screen and why is my engine so cold?" i tell her to get a grip and if she runs she can have some nice petrol and come and sit by the campfire later, so i try again.....she fires! panic over all is well and we go off to work happy....me in a fleece and a coat and hat and gloves brrrrrr!
in all seriousness, and this is purely because it's the only petrol vehicle i've had in 20 odd years, how does the cold affect a petrol car? it's fuel injected so there is no choke to be playing up it wound over fast just took some firing.
may be a battery issue, the fi stuf doesnt like to be much below 12volts or electrickerty bits dont work
yeah will still sound spot on, maybe your 5th injector needs a clean as its possibly never been used.
when its cold its critical that you have nice clean plugs with the correct gap. I've always found (until now) that my vans have always started better the colder it gets. I've now got the dells with no choke and it seems to be taking longer each time and when I do get there its a hefty cloud of smoke spat out the back
i've no problem with them - it just takes a bit longer to get it started. Once it starts and warms up for a couple of minutes its fine - I have the short T25 manifolds which I guess helps it warm up a bit quicker once its running
