Paradox, thanks for the extra pics, I think I'll have to take it. I'll pm you a bit later, I just got home from a long days work!
Right a little update. After thinking about weather to leave the roof as it was (lots of character) or to paint it (make it look less ratty/scruffy), I finally took the plunge. My other dilemma was if I should paint it myself or get it done professionally. I decided the latter was best way to go and after getting a quote from my local vw garage, I got it booked in this week. I think they did a great job and gave me a reasonable price Its Pearl white and I got them to do the bumpers at the same time. The guy that runs the bodywork section is a good guy, hes stuck a westfalia sticker on but dunno if im keen on it yet Started fitting seatbelts as well. Got the drivers side done then ran out of light!
Cheers BayWatcher, will get some more photos up soon. I've got big plans for the interior but a limited budget. I'm going to pick up a load of the leather this afternoon for all the seats, front and rear. Nice orang e / tan, goes well with the green Does anyone have any experience sending your own material to the upholsterers? Got an interesting plan for the dash and door cards as well.
I use to use my panel van for work as well (painter and decorator also) but one spillage and you would be proper pee'd off. Then theres the everlasting fumes of the paint. So i took my wifes car instead. nick
Right now there's nothing to ruin inside so I don't mind too much. I haven't had a spillage yet and wouldn't want one after I've put the floor down and re-upholstered ! Bloody nightmare Anyway, both seatbelts in, off to mess about with something else on the bus. Oh yeah westfalia now just says west. Although it'll probably disappear by the end of the day
Looks crisp and clean that roof dude And so do the bumpers which gives me the feeling the green paint will be the next to go ?
