Something must be going right in this country and the local councils are trying their best, they are paying the 2 families living in my houses rents and they both drive cars less than 2 years old (one brand new as of this week) oddly though, neither of them works ! Yet here I am doing 65 hours a week and no new car...... Oh well, maybe if I strike I can get a pension to match the spongers..... Oh wait, I'm self employed, I get nowt..... Anyone know of any public sector jobs going, I need a holiday and pension of any description

    So how do you propose we solve the issues? By striking?
     
  11. I propose we give all those who have worked hard all their lives a decent pension in old age. That's it really. pensioner poverty is endemic in this country and this is a disgrace.

    I'd propose people worked hard and earnt a decent pension. That's what I intend to do anyway and if the goalposts move (link to final salary) then I'll just work harder.
