Is it me - or is this tremendously expensive? Not doubting the integrity of the seller, or the quality of work. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-SPLITSCREEN-SAMBA-CAMPER-VAN-BUS-PROJECT-CHASSIS-RAISED-SLAM-PROJECT-/260897920709?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cbeba56c5#ht_1874wt_1185 Its a 15 window split made into a 23 window Samba with a new roof. Just the body with various parts missing. Is it me, or will that never get its money back as its not registered as a 23 Window Samba? Happy to educated, but its a mad world....
considering how solid that van is i think thats fair money for it, if it were a true 23 window it would be at least double that as a project in that condition
Am I miscounting - sure its got 23 Windows...? But surely that's the point - it has no providence - in fact you might arse up the value of a 15 window too.
If a bay is (ever) worth £30k as believed by a few on here, £8k for a solid split shell seems reasonable.
I would say it's reasonable. Is it worth it......? Not sure about that, but if it's solid, definitely reasonable.
I like this http://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Bus-T1-Ruthmann-Steiger-V90-Arbeitsbuhne-1966-/110779925475?_trksid=p3286.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4450935283734706180 But not the prix... ;D no bids so far?
If i was after a solid split project, had the money, and that one hadn't been frigged about with, i'd seriously consider it, however with the chasis messed about with and roof chop its not for me. But as solid splits go that looks in very good nic.
I guess that was supposed to be rhetorical but it was actually 2 days ago. If there's a rule against mentioning 2 day old subjects please let me know.
Personally splits make me feel sick but should you want one and not wanna pay a rediculous price try the banana split in wimpy comes in a nice yellow colour with red top half and a custom i piece glass set up going for a reasonable £4.95
cool indeed and the body is demountable so you can use it as an ordinary split pickup when not fixing street lighting think the cherry picker will fit a bay too
