This is what she looked like on the day of purchase And 8 months on.... We bought her without any knowledge of what it really was- just a camper with a pop up roof we could get changed in at the beach when we sail our dinghy. By the time it was back on the road they closed our local beach to vehicles! We did all the work ourselves including the painting by hand with brush and aerosols, overhauling the mechanics, headlings and upholstery, roofbox and bed in the roof being the latest additions. Resto pics before and afters roof bed flagbox used all year (wasn't going to but too much fun!) Sailing mode SO glad we did it!
Looks like a pretty solid base you started with. What a stand-out van! and I would hazard to guess I won't see another one like it
if the two first letters were different i would sooooooooooo love this van but SH, don't tell anyone......
Details of construction showing corners. Ply was old hoardings! Base was scrap 4mm ply (easy to bend). Made as one box and then cut to produce lid. Flagbox carries about 50kg of kit; table, two benches, two camp bed, poles, pegs, folding chair, roll up table and groundsheet Was going to paint it white with the paint I used on the hull of the boat but the hardener had gone off so used leftover paint from Flagbus!
