The Argos Tent Bridge

  1. I know foolishly I booked an extra few days over the bank holiday, my fault I never been glad to get the van home so much. The Spain brigade have all been to Argos and bought tents some still had the tags attached( probably to take back when the weather is bad). They have no respect for anyone’s else’s property. Play football and rugby ball by the van. I’m no kill joy but the site had a no ball policy and a huge PLAYING FIELD. I feel sorry for Spain hopefully next year will be better.

  2. Look on the bright side. It’s never been a better time to sell some rusty old bag of carp to a complete idiot who suddenly must have a camper cos he can’t go to Benidorm/Lanzorote.

I’m throughly looking forward to breaking a few people’s hearts next year when I give them £13k for the bus they paid £26k for this year.

cash in my friends. It’s an idiots market out there at the minute.

    rusty bus?. No problem.

End float with more wobble than a spinning top? No problem.

Six pages of mot advisories before it became exempt this year? No problem.

Tarquín and Jocasta simply must go away this year darling. So shove some bunting in a few pictures and cain the backside out of them.

  4. I’m reliably informed that Felicity and Julian from Harpenden have cash waiting for the right bus. By right bus I mean it must look good on Instagram.

  5. I’ve heard I could use something called tic tok to make the bus look better might even push it to 35k

  7. Where did you stay ... sounds like a field at the back of Butlins

  8. We stayed at a touring site in Cornwall on a caravan rally on hollywell bay Trevornick 5 star rated, I think Steve wounder Rated it so glad to be home that’s one never to go back on.

  9. Let's hope they go back to Spain next year then, afraid to say 5 star rated probably means a load of entertainment, on site bar, static vans, etc. unlikely to attract those who like a bit of solitude and relax by reading a book in a camping chair. Sorry you had such a bad experience. We went to a P*rkde*n resort once ... an awful experience ... after we used to get calls from their marketing team, they took us off their calling/mailing list when we said one of their sites was the last place in the world we would ever go to.

  10. Making a killing after the staycation bubble only works if you buy back a van you sold at inflated prices, otherwise you are paying £13k for a van that was only worth that in the first place.

It’s getting worse Portugal has been taken off the green list so all those that had booked holidays will now be buying a tent.

Anybody idiot enough to get on a plane this summer, deserves 2 weeks detention for stupidity in the face of reality. COVID wont go away this summer, or next for a lot of the world. Maybe the year after. Places like Australia even longer because of paralysis and inability to make risk assessments..

  13. My mate has been really careful throughout.

he’s just had the dreaded ping. One of his young sons classmates came over to play a couple of days ago.

The playmate and his dad tested positive this morning. So now my mate and his whole family are stuck at home for ten days. He’s not a happy bunny. Just shows even when you are careful and follow the rules to the letter. The risk isn’t zero. So sod getting on a plane this year or next.
