  1. Could give the bits where the seals run a nice polish with Scotchbrite

you’ll regret it , … they aren’t even bothered with building in “ in built obsolescence “nowadays don’t need to as the recycled parts have it in their DNA.:(

  8. Remember the tamper proof screws they started putting in domestic appliances to discourage people from trying to repair them?

    How was that ever acceptable.

Is that ‘loose’ enough, for expansion?
Just wondering, as I don’t know.

Thought about replacing the last of the ‘old’ gas hoses, but it’ll wait for another day.
Filled it up with petrol in anticipation of a weekend away. Hoping there’s fuel in Cornwall left so I can get back again!

    Thanks.

  16. Spec is 0.07 - 0.13mm. It’s very small, presumably just to allow for the crank to expand.

I’ve got the opposite prob at the mo. New bearings fit a bit too well - I haven’t got enough unshimmed enfloat to squeeze three shims in.

What's the plan? Three makes sense to me - one to drag on the bearing, one to drag on the flywheel and one between for happiness.

Fitted some roof rack bars so I don’t have to keep inflating the paddleboard each time I go out. I know autumn is on its way when the van gets covered in tiny leaves from the nearby tree!
