    Good to know
The information you get with them says start off on the lowest setting 1 but I've set mine to 8 I suppose I'd best wind them up cheers for the info mate.

  2. Brexit! Well it is a major contributor to my current predicament. Like most things other than the campervan, I try not to think about it.

Those are surprisingly massive temperature % increases on the panels. Useful info. Thanks.

I wonder if there is any way to reduce temperature from underneath before installing. My roof is fibreglass. I imagine that radiates heat less than aluminium.

If it does come down to covering them, perhaps there is a material that allows functionality but reduces direct sunlight heat - replicating shade.

24• isn’t a hot day either. That can be a shade temperature even.

At least the Stirling BBS doesn’t operate solar whilst driving, so options become available once stopped.

Hmm more complicated and limiting than anticipated.

Flew through. Two advisories, slight oil leak and exhaust connection needs tightening

Just scratching my head about an oil change, I seem to have standard diesel oil in the engine and it’s turbo, can’t remember which oil I used to top up!

  4. Try it, but the other way around, start high and wind your way down  I think you'll home in quicker on your settings.

I thought the Sterling provided solar and alternator charging simultaneously to a maximum combined of 30amp. With my Olys B2B it’s one or the other, 30amp from the alternator or 20amp from solar.

  6. Just checked the manual and it says they don’t work simultaneously. One or the other, depending.

    All set up now mate
Wow what a difference no more banging over the slightest potholes.
    Turned to full at first
But now 8 clicks back I just can't believe how good they are.
I still have to sort some for the rear as that bangs an crashes too I have 1 -1/2 bumps on my rear bump stops but they only sit about 20mm above the dish.

Fitted a balance pipe between the twin Weber ICT34s as they never had one before.

Decided it was time to make a new door card for the crew cab.

They’re not available to buy (except in LHD) so it was time to bite the bullet while the original hardboard door card was still in one piece and could be used as a template.

I got a sheet of 3mm textured acrylic as I thought this would resist any moisture and any general wear and tear.

First job..Remove the old door card.
Surprise, surprise it was filthy behind it. I thought I had got rid of all the South Africa dirt but it keeps popping up..

    Had to clean that up..

Did the internal seams with waxoyl and treated a little surface rust with Hammerite Kurust.

    The new door card fitted..

Gonna have to pop it off again later as I forgot to put a bit of left over Dynamat in there but overall I’m pleased with the job.

Are your studs still lined up to clash with the chassis if you hit a big enough bump? New shocks I thought was an odd solution.

  15. Turn them up to 11 !
