I wired it directly from the leisure fuse box to the fridge terminals (with 4mm cables).

 

Gearbox refresh part 1... clean up done nose cone ball joint, gasket and select shaft seal.



Output shaft seal and drive shaft seals next...

Sorry its not gold..

Edit. 002 gasket set on order as the 091 doesn't fit corners!. forgot about this after doing it on the tiptop 5 years ago!

Nope all good, I have Classic car LED ones and that looks like the same box. They will pass an MOT.

Nope.. rule change makes them ok.. passed MOT on the dokka , tester even asked which LED they were as the light pattern was great

Only thing to note is that the driveshaft seals folk sell these days (got mine from VWH) are about 2mm thicker than the originals. Just need to tap them down a bit further so they don’t rub on the back of the flange as it goes round.

Apart from that, easy job.

 

Thats a bit posh - that drive needs some oil!

 

..I’m being off work for a week so decided to have a look on my floors..

..tbh didn’t expect it that bad..

..all this stuff were soaked in and weighed a ton

..so after a couple of hours of hard work in a heat..

..I’ve gotten to this stage..now need to figure out what to put on the floor

A lick of Pastel White Rustoleum will do nicely.

Grit your teeth and lever them out . A hook-ended seal puller helps. Mine put up a bit of a fight. Try not to disturb the silver adjuster ring.

 

Could you screw in a couple of self tappers and oik them out with a pair of mole grips/pliers? I've had success in the past with this technique on awkward oil seals

And ABS is a bit brittle, so be careful slamming the door onto things.
