  2. You've maximised your space remarkably well I reckon. We're all the same: create space, fill it up with stuff. Make more space, get more stuff etc.

  3. Me too , but this'll have do for now ...

  4. That's a handy place to know

  5. No storage and you can't leave anything overnight or outside but it's been a revelation as I've nowhere to work on the van otherwise - a great find

  8. Well I can see it’s at a church...that’s narrowed it down to one of the 16,000 in England

  10. If you zoom in under the van and look beyond the scabby car trailer all will be revealed

What do you do when the funeral courtage arrives....and have you ever worked there after dark?

  13. If a funeral corteige showed up i would REALLY freak out as they were last used for services in the mid 70s
Everything was derelict up to about 4 years ago when the man shed got the go ahead to clear and repair the overgrown chapels and mortuary. They've made an amazing transformation into 2 workshoppes with lathes , pillar drills and all that gubbins . For me it's become an amazing place to chill out and work on the van a couple of days a week during these last 6 months of weirdness.
Must admit I was a bit twitchy about being in the middle of a graveyard at first but you get used to it and I often pop in a Glenn Miller cassette for the lads in the commonwealth graves behind the van - I'm sure they'd approve ....

Been working later this past week and not done a great deal, put Gusbus rocker cover on and did a quick run, no leaks.

This came my way though, someone has been busy :D

  16. The prospect of doing 90 rivets today didn’t daunt me...until I started and the gun broke on #1!

Bought a new, more expensive gun...turns out that barely makes a difference with 5mm stainless steel rivets

Some punch through with a hammer. Others are meeting the grinder - but that destroys my desire for everything to be neat and consistent My only solace is likely I will be the only one to see and know of the monstrosity.

Meanwhile...minion is doing a good job of removing glue from a rubber seal:

  18. Successfully mated a Sealy bleeder with an Eezibleed, as part of my breeding plan. After much faff, actually holds pressure.

  20. I hate the thing, but useful as an air pump now I've actually got it to seal. Better than humping the spare tyre up into the cab.
