I take a nut and bolt underneath with me, for when I have a "senior moment " deciding which way to turn adjuster.

    I like that.

Turning nut moves bolt, it's quite straightforward really.

Earlier I like better, adjusted through holes in the drum so no grovelling on the floor under the van with your elbows caught in the mud flaps.

Been doing that for over 20 years, but with a spare adjuster.
    I still forget.

S/S pipe arrived and the servo is back in action. Easy in the end. :)

You forgot to check the screenwasher's and fill the bottle up...check!

And fit the blingy handbrake lever handle...check!

Battery now charging up and the windscreen cleaned with glass cleaner, it was mucky.

My work is done, we are now ready to go over to Matt for the new motor :D

Loaded up with kit, took second daughter to flat in Bristol. Bus riding about an inch lower than usual.. A bit slower up hills.

    Exciting:thumbsup:

  11. Gave her a run out to one of our favourite sunny afternoon chill out spots, the Eyebrook Reservoir just over the border into Rutland, about 15 miles from us. Such a lovely, peaceful area despite the ever present birders and casual strollers, I've often thought about attempting a cheeky overnighter here but doubtful we'd get away with it.

Running tangibly better with the new (to me) exhaust, silky smooth power delivery from the bottom end, a little more mid-range torque and measurably cooler although that may be down to slightly lower ambient temperatures?

Drove back into gridlocked Bristol today from campsite, collected daughter, ratrun down to the A370 bridge to escape, off to NT Tyntesfield for the day. Then back into Bristol again, used suspension bridge to get back in. Parked up and we walked and pointed her in the right direction, back over the Avon, now back at the campsite.

Off to Glastonbury tomorrow because I havent ever been there and I want to go up the Tor and see New Age junk shops.

The bus was running well, almost keeping up with the traffic on hills.

Nice little drive up to Fordingbridge to pick up the rollover jig from @scrooge95 (lovely to meet you!).
Toasty day though, van heating is stuck on and I wore jeans.

Now to make some adapter plates for the jig so the bug chassis can go on it over Winter.

  18. Took the front wheels off
Applied copper grease to the brake pads to stop them squeaking
    Painted the callipers black

Finally finished fitting the dash. Found the only tool that could do the six nuts for the padded bit, which I fitted last, was this little combo with a flexible shaft

More importantly I tested the heating and I got hot air at the front! Then tested the bilge fan I fitted under the totem and that really blasted the hot air. Need to lag all the air pipes still.
Pedal pan also got fitted once I'd tweaked the master cylinder pushrod.

Hi Mark, remind me again which exact bilge fan you bought?
And the million dollar question - how loud is it?
I'm due to replace mine, I used it quite a lot through 3 or 4 winters but it jammed up eventially and now of course it kinda blocks the duct a bit!
