  1. Hi there,

My name is Niels from the Netherlands and this is my ride :)

Ok, well this is how it looked when i bought it. It's a swedish import.
Sadly there wasn't any swedish bikini team inside or some swedish meatballs....
But ok it was fine enough for me.

I will post some pics during the time, because it has been in my possession for 2 years now and there have been some modifications 8) 8) 8)

Hello & Welcome from The Colonial Contingent :hattip:

  4. When i bought the bus i knew that there would be 'some' work to be done. When it was delivered at home, i directly started to strip the interior of the bus and removed the front wheel.
Also was the front window cracked, so we replaced it for a new one.
The ceiling(?) in the bus was covered with little red lights ...but there wasn't a rock and roll bed inside. ;D
So my first suspicion, would not be correct ;) I think it belonged to some kind of rockband?

  5. Nice one. are you fitting a full camping kit?

  6. No only the rear bench and a table.
Also i bought a retro cooler.

  7. Nice to see another swede van :)

  8. After I managed to get the old interior out of the bus there had to be some welding done.
The inner and outer sills (??) had to be replaced, as you can see on the pictures.
In the past 37 years there had been some bad replacements.

  10. You have a bit of work there ;)
Interesting lift mechanism you have for the Bus, did you buy it ir make it yourself

  11. It belongs to the guy who welded my bus. I think he bought it.

  12. When the welding was finished, the silles and some other welding spots were covered in Por 15 (that's the grey stuff).

Also I found some temporary wheels on the net.

you need a roofrack to break down the roof a tad - a two bow one perhaps?

And put another ceiling (?) in the bus.

  19. Than it was time for the big make over.

Originally the bus came in the colour Sumatra Green L61B, but it was painted blue in Sweden.

There was a hole in the roof (maybe for somekind of of light???) It is closed now.

And a bit lower to mother Earth with a Red 9 (2-4 inch)

Back to stock/steel wheels with smart tyres.

Eventually this was the result, it isn't the exact same colour but it works (for now) for me.

In front on the lowest position with the red 9, at the back 1 inner spline.

The roof of the bus is made from white leather for the old school retro look.
