Has anyone tried for tickets? We tried, along with my siblings and kids but unsuccessful. My niece got through twice and input the details for the site to crash. We got through after they were apparently sold out for it to go to sold out after I had put the details in
Same there was 12 of us trying to go and we all tried for tickets - we managed to get 6 tickets but multiple times were crashed out after putting reg numbers in for the rest of our group
I feel your pain and frustration. Only been once (back in 2011) so know the challenges of trying to get tickets.
Don’t worry, it’s rubbish now. It was only good the year I went, which was before anyone else went. Just thought I would get in there first….
I couldn’t actually be arsed with the ticket Marmiteshow tbh although I’d love to go again one year. It’s been a very long time.
Yep 215 tickets all secured. Took us 80 minutes this year though and it got close at the end with the last tickets secured in the last minute I use to work it every year but have given up now as it turned in to hard work and hassle but I help out with a large group of friends to get their tickets
Well I don’t have 215 friends but wow that’s quite an achievement - do they all camp in vw buses if so that’s one hell of a convoy
It's interesting that they sold out straight away. There's been lots of criticism of the price increase and the Eavis family have even made statements about rising costs etc, yet they've all sold within hours. I'm sure they could have doubled or even trebled the price and they'd still all be sold within hours. The F1 GP at Silverstone is the same, the bleating about the price increase this year was deafening, they even introduced "demand based pricing" which meant that the less tickets that were left, the higher the price. Yet still the sheep bought them within minutes of release, paying hundreds for tickets that a few years ago were £80 or so and then spending hours on every platform they could find complaining about it. Odd
You only had to pay £50 deposit so I guess a lot of folk had the thought of get them while you can then save up for April to pay the balance. I don’t see the attraction any more ( until I see the BBC coverage and wish I was there ) , we scratched that itch a couple of times so I don’t feel the desire to go. I’d much rather go to a smaller festival, or a gig in a pub somewhere. But I get the wanting to get some mates together and be part of that collective experience. But yeah, it’s reet expensive int it?
It’s a bit of a difficult one really as it’s supply and demand and it does appear that they could sell tickets almost at any price. Why should they even bother with any semblance of fairness when selling them anyway. Which adds up and kind of tells me I probably shouldn’t bother which I won’t. I’d like to go one year but clearly I’m not bothered enough to even try getting tickets lol!
I do wonder if the hike in price will be directly proportional to a hike in the numbers of people who will get over the fence, perhaps seeing the price hike as a challenge? They can’t monitor every inch of the fence. So, who’s in?
It is expensive but if you break it down it’s still good value when a single gig for a headliner is £100 let alone all the rest of the 100 stages
