You need to be near a cell site for any for of text/phone call to work, and/or have 3G connectivity for that app to work. Also, if you've nicked a plane, you'd take phones off people first surely. I still think the outcome of this will be bleak - if it was landed in a controlled manner for some form of hostage or act of terrorism, there hasn't been any communications from those factions is a week.
They're out of range of any cell sites by now, as they likely were when the plane started its initial flight. Would've come potentially back into range as they flew back over Malaysia, but this implies to me that at that time, none on board thought there was anything wrong. Why try to make a cellphone call from a plane if there's no crisis? I assume that by the time they were aware something might be wrong, they were well out of range of any networks again. Can't believe they relieved 250 people of their phones, but if you're way out to sea, you don't need to. I don't think this will end well...
If you knew someone's number and worked for a shady government agency wouldn't you be able to track them is all I am saying. First thing people throw away when try to avoid giving away their location is their phone. Or is Hollywood lying to us?
I see Sarah Palin has a totally logical &reasonable explanation of what has happened http://www.codewit.com/north-americ...flew-directly-to-heaven#.Uy1LNaKiPrM.facebook
Here's some amateur footage of the moment it crashed. Don't watch if your squeamish, it's pretty disturbing stuff.
When it lands in ten years time, those on it will say they just went through a thunderstorm and what's all the fuss about
Maybe, maybe not. They'll soon know. I personally doubt whether they'll ever find it. Whoever flew it to a to its final resting place made a pretty good job of it...
Have they found it or just an hoax http://metro.co.uk/2015/10/12/wreck...keletons-is-found-in-the-philippines-5435116/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ippine-island-fuelling-speculation-MH370.html
