    Good evening all , thankyou for adding me to your group , I’m new to vw T2 my dad had one back in the 70s spend many a happy summer touring Scotland or wales anywhere really where there was a midge population .
    Please excuse me if I seem to asking simple questions, this is my first bay and I don’t want to make costly mistakes.
    I’m just trying to clean theDevon windows the aluminium is oxidised and was wondering if anyone could recommend a product to clean it off , I really don’t want to be taking the window out with little experience so was hoping to be able to fettle it up without dismantling it .

    The general consensus of opinion would probably be that you have already made the costly mistake, there's loads of less costly mistakes to come :D.

    Work in progress , I purchased without a kitchen , has a rock and roll bed all stripped out atm to deaden and insulate,4way carpet etc , I’m loving finding more stuff to do .

    Welcome, nice looking bus. Not had to refurb an ali window before but probably wire wool to get the oxidised crud off the frame and then metal polish to finish. Be careful near the paint though.

    Hello and welcome from down south in the New Forest.
    Looks a lovely bus (as said above, nice colour!) and in good nick, which is a great start.

    Stick some cushions in the back for a few weeks, get yourself along to Techenders near Lutterworth at the start of September, and you'll find us all in a field for the weekend.
    You can nose around our buses and get some ideas of interior designs if you haven't got a plan already.
    Plus it's fun, and there's beer.
