This one? No, I can only just get my finger tips onto it!! The van is either surprisingly low, or I’m surprisingly large because I can’t get under any nearer!! I can’t go from the back because the exhaust is too low and can’t reach my hand through from above.

I know it's a bit sad of me to post a picture of my bus but thought it was a nice shot of sundown Saturday evening. [IMG]

Not aimed at you as you is sensible.
Classic TE service at one time was - set valves gaps and points/timing, put covers back on on. Run for half an hour, all good, get drunk and natter for the weekend. 2 miles from site on way home all the oil falls out or the distributor moves because the clamp wasn't done up, you borrowed that spanner/used your oil to service and everyone's gone home. :D
This started to happen much more often as TE mutated from an austere short weekend of gruel, spanners and Roddy's depressing Hurdy Gurdy to a full on party and that's when the road test urgings started. Even when we know we should, as often as not a few beers may have accidentally been consumed by then so we think nar, it'll be alright or that we'll do it tomorrow. Tsk, tsk, much better when there's a field full of people ready to come and help.
Lots of things are happy in a field however long you let them run but show their true colours on a road test. Did my gaps yesterday, ran for 5 minutes but going to Tesco in a minute to really see if I did it ok. I wouldn't set off on a long journey without doing that, particularly if I'd just used my oil stash servicing it which would be typical TE.

And there endeth the lecture. Carry on.

Btw - I asked ChatGDP what Techenders is:

do you know what techenders is?

    ChatGPT

    Very fair points.
And I know that weren’t aimed at me.
But I should’ve taken it for a road test yesterday when there were still more people around; but I was stubborn because I didn’t want to disconnect my awning, put down the roof, and stow all the stuff inside the camper, only to have to set it up again for another night.
Nothing has (in theory) changed apart from the pressure regulator being added. It doesn’t appear to be leaking, which is always the greatest fear.

If it had missed out the second paragraph that would be spot on?

I forgot about that! I'd just have to lob everything onto the floor and wind the awning in. 5 minutes max set up/10 to pack up style camping for me. :)

Can someone tell me the name/user name of the bloke who was working on Simon’s orange camper? He was tweaking a twin carb set up and knew his stuff.

Beard, smokes roll-ups, northern and drove a green Devon.

That describes almost everyone doesn’t it!!
    Parked near @davidoft.

  20. Good point re test driving however some people drive to techenders in buses I wouldn't trust go to the shop at the end of the street in. Im not adverse to roadside spannering when its not right myself or needs adjusting (hence i set of back a bit early in anticipation of some potential adjustment).
