  1. Hiya Lasty,

We have some mates outside Glasgow and were planning to travel up at the end of September, stay with them for a night and then travel on to some of the islands in the lower Hendrides e.g. Isla (we havent booked any sites). Did you have problems camping up??

Pity you couldn't make this one but hope to catch up in April ;-)

    Cheers

  4. Going to have a look today, took it for a drive yesterday and it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.

  5. Thinking you said you put new lifters in, recently? So sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I wonder if the cam has gone, perhaps? :(

  6. Suffice to say, Scotland was motorhome central - faaarsands of em !!
Got onto a farm site for the first night and tried maybe a dozen quieter sites trying to work North but it was the same story. Despite not not needing hook up , just somewhere to park and a bog they were all full until the end of September ...

    Maybe it's just me ...

  11. Campsites on Arran try:
Seal Shore campsite (South end of Island)
    Lochranza (North end of Island)

From Lochranza you can easily get to Islay and one of the best campsites in the world.
From Lochranza get a ferry to the knob shaped bit of the mainland, 15 min drive across to Kennacraig. Ferry to Port Askaig. Drive to Kintra Farm

Pre book ferry/hopscotch ferry with calmac
