This year we have been experimenting with a couple of tarpaulins. We were unsure whether they would achieve anything so just bought a couple of 4"X 6" efforts from £-shop. But they've not ripped yet & they are great! When camping without the awning, I no longer have to squeeze seats & stuff into the van overnight in case it rains, I just wrap them up & shove them under the van. I spent a week in Southwold & tied them to my bike rack every night - ace. I appreciate that you couldn't use them at a show as folk would simply nick you stuff but for proper camping brill. They fold up to about the size of a handkerchief & only weigh a couple of ounces.
