K for the above and beyond photos of the beautiful T4 engine like we've never seen it before :)

  3. Nice to see a proper metal timing scale for a change. Not many of those about now.

Interesting too to see painted heat exchangers. I wonder if they can be powder coated? I know the powdercoat can cope with something like 485 C, I doubt they get that hot do they?
    :)

  6. i'm working out how to repaint the numbers on mine
    :)

  7. I nevery realised my engine could look that clean ;D

1 pic has answered the question were the odd bit if tin ware goes !

just a pity my dip stick it in the wrong place ! goes in from the top

  8. I also like to know the maximum heat the exchangers get on a hot day.

What year did the metal timing scale changed to plastic?

Was there an economical reason or rubbing issues with timing belt?

  10. Seen that in the stifling museum, its a great place, I spent the whole day there, in the end my missus & kids were board lol. :)

  11. That's true, you need a full day in there to fulfill your soul. :)

With all those blink of an eye shots hitting a vw enthusiast,it's way too hard to walk away.
