T25 Syncro

Discussion in 'Non Late Bay Classifieds' started by its ted, Sep 15, 2022.

  1. I am looking for a T25 Syncro, either panel van or camper, preferably in roadworthy condition and RHD
Are there any out there for sale?
Missed one on BPI auction site a couple of months back and regret not bidding that little bit more
    Any help or leads appreciated

  7. The one on BMI went for under £10k
    But it was a Saffer
Not interested in another doka though
Budget depends on vehicle and originality

Does that mean your budget is under 10?

i have a couple of very original vehicles? The prices are considerably over £10k , for even a half decent van £10k is pretty low

And then budget to eventually spend at least another 10 if you haven't got skilllz...;)
And if it was indeed a South African for less than 10, well they are unique in their own way. Big window SA built bodyshell from late 80s up until 1992 with some really subtle mods. Then there's the holy grail of syncro with the 2.7l factory engine mixing and matching 16 inch suspension components built in numbers you can count on 2 hands apparently. They have a solid following.

  13. Mine is quite original and could be for sale later this year.

when I say original - it is apart from the engine.

and the gearbox - that got rebuilt.

Some of the paint where it got some minor rust scubs sorted - that’s not original.

The steering wheel - that’s not original either not is the electric power steering set up that works a treat.

The front seats - half leather fancy pants ones, very comfy but not not original.

Come to think of it the caravelle back seats aren’t the ones it would have left the factory with either. It is a caravelle but the seats aren’t original.

But the good points - it is used every day, it’s reliable, big ticket items are done. And it’s awesome and gets more attention driving around than the super shiny bay.

    I love it….
