I think the answer is here. You send it to Australia.. The basic changing seals bit is easy DIY , they are standard engineering lip seals. But that doesnt stop a worn box from failing to adjust, or adjusting OK then clunking a few hours later as the main shaft slips off the ridge in the side cover bushing... Its the other parts of refurbishment are difficult.. like milling out the bushing on the cover plate and pressing in a new bushing..

Yes, faced with a clunky steering box I measured up for a bushing and ripped away with a Dremel., using eyeball and the screw in the adjuster and the output shaft as a guide.. Three hours of having to think.. it was messed up before, now its just totally wrecked.. and now I have a steering box with a ptfe impregnated steel backed bronze bushing in the side plate that doesnt clunk. It has been a few years, tens of thousands of miles and it still goes round corners
