Jesus! I love vans, but even I got bored reading that! Why say 1 word when 1,000 would do, ‘eh?! £11,750 for me.
The doors and tailgate are Brazzers, must have been sourced via the usual suspects if the owner wanted new. All of the panels on my air cooled Brazzer are thinner than a German spec bay, but the panels on my later, water cooled Brazzer panel van feels even lighter. The driver's doorskin on my air cooled is pushed in around the door handle, just from slamming it shut. I've had corrosion treated around the battery tray but everywhere else is solid and its 18 years old now, but it has benefitted from a good respray by Danbury when ordered by the first owner. They all land here in white, my panel van wasn't repeated so doesnt have the extra protection. It's already had new bumpers as it was used from new as a lift and escalator service engineers van in and around London. The quality of the new bumpers is shocking.
Christ that write up is a load of waffle innit! I wouldn't trust a word of it to be honest. Who knows what someone will pay for it... but for a laugh, I will guess £8132.54p
To be fair, those Brazilian doors aren't bad, we have two on Gusbus, they are as substantial as the german doors on the westy, ie, as heavy. After five years ours are okay, they did have a good coat of waxoyl mind!
Funnily enough, my first van was a 1972 low light tintop, I bought it in 1990 so it was the same age as my air cooled Brazzer. Within a year I had to have new steps and cills welded both sides, and the paint had faded so badly I had it re-sprayed. So compared to a Brazzer it actually performed worse. I remember being happy that, having bought it for £1000 and spending £400 on a re-spray in peppermint green, I sold it for £2000.....
Hats off to anyone who read the lot , I did my usual trick of stopping reading when I get bored as they're all the same old tosh . I got as far as the second line ... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
I read it, but got lost with the bit about T1 and T2 where T2 is a mild update. I thought a T1 is a beetle....that’s a bloody big update if so.
Rusty panels, rusty hubcaps, 100,000 mile engine, no cooker or sink, front seats gaffa taped, no heater cables, odd looking Brazil doors, cracked side walls, snapped aerial, wire hanging out of the steering wheel, wrong distributor, cold vent mech bust (dash vents were taped up), no cab door cards, no tailgate card, random bed cushions don't fit. Horrible colour. It's one of those that looks ok at a glance but probably needs everything doing including bottom half respray. I guess £8k and won't reach reserve.
Seeing as there is a new revived interest in Campers due to Present climate, I’m reckon it will fetch 15000k Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
You read my mind! and it took 98 photos with tooooo many waffly wiffly words to get that across .... Other people get VW tat, I get sent links to adverts
