Murdoch has the effrontery to accuse the Beeb (wonderful organisation) of being a political channel. PMSL. Take a look at Fox. It makes Daily Mail readers look like children dancing in meadows collecting butterflies.

i think that we shall agree to disagree about the newspaper issue. though i'm not overly enamoured by any of the broadsheets. they all have their masters and agendas to pander to.

I suspect you may be thinking of Jonathan King Hippyrichy. A man that compares his trials and accusations to that of Oscar Wilde.

imo sexual abuse is abuse no matter age, gender or sexual preference of the abuser.

 

You obviously did, and it was just a point, nothing else. You can't put Rolf Harris in the same league as Gary Glitter.

Rolf Harris has not been charged with anything. Gary Gliiter has been both charged and has previous convictions.

In my view Rolf Harris is innocent until proven otherwise. Mr Glitter needs a red hot poker shoved down his japs eye.

Theres more veracity in an issue of Viz than any of his rags. Besides I was hoping my obituary would at least be half interesting...

 

oh, that one. I couldn't comment as i don't know any of the facts but the law (rightly or wrongly) is that the age of consent is 16 and i guess he'll be tried with that. i also don't know any of the facts as he's not been tried yet. will we find that he is a predatory pedophile? who knows, i guess the victims are the best placed for that comment. we'll see.

Can't help thinking back to the thread last week regarding the old bloke with the very young wife. She was allegedly 15 when they met. Many of the replies were extremely misogynist, objectifying and downright offensive.

Old fashioned attitudes die hard.
