It was this, conduit snapped off torsion tube plus one of the bolts that hold the bracket to the gearbox had snapped. I put the new cable in but could do not much else. It needs to be up in the air to drill and re tap the thread, I didn't have a drill or tap with me but if I did doubt I could of drilled it straight laying in a field.
Now awaiting rac to take me to someone with ramps, who can drill old bolt and re tap. Plus weld bracket
Paul is back on the road, local garage drilled out the broken bolt and fitted new, welded other end of bowden tube back on. Sorted
All sorted. Bracket thing welded back on. Old bolt drilled out, New bolt in. Plus of course the New Clutch cable that our very own Mick fitted earlier! Thanks to everyone for helping
Very good point, but it does sound nice and helps the beast move along nicely. Usually! Thanks again I really appreciate it
Sooooo pleased you got sorted . Nice one @3901mick - sterling effort . I`m hoping the Techenders stereo fix will hold `til you get back ....
No one of the speaker covers has already fallen off at least once. I was going to cut short the holiday, but luckily was able to fix this myself using skills I learned at techenders !
that karma lark is a load of old bolloxs. I was on the 4 oclock ferry off the island this morning, sprinter wouldn't start to get off :-( am now back on ferry heading back.
