I heard Disney have bought it to turn it into a Flintstones theme park.
It’ll be renamed Bedrock before long, mark my words.

    Yabba dabba doo...

  4. They've already got little buggies to drive you from the visitor centre, so halfway there already...

  5. This cd be peak nerd, But I was mesmerised by seeing the bumps on top of the vertical stones, which would have slotted into a depression on the horizontal stone on top. A kind of mortice and tenon.
So much so, this is about the only pic I took. :p

  7. How do you know it didn’t have one in the first place? Could have been tented like an outlet shopping village.
Maybe it WAS an outlet centre! Mystery solved. The MacArthur Glen Bicester site for cut price human sacrifice knives.

  8. Was supposed to have a roof, but apparently the builders had "another job on in Avebury". Supposed to come back and finish it. That was 6,000 years ago. Still no sign of them

It would also explain why there's no sign of any plumbing there.

  12. So I notice you couldn't help yourself today, or didn't you get as far as "the henge" in your travels?

  13. No Henge today. Some other time. Used to go past it on the way to the powder coaters in Salisbury.

  14. How far did you go today then? I saw you, I think Andover-ish on the 303 heading east

  15. Ha! Just a boring run to the BP garage to get some M&S goodies. Where were you?

The dimensions are wrong if it's an offspring of TMA-1 the ratio of 1 : 4 : 9 (the squares of the first three positiveintegers).

  20. That’s exactly what I said.
