Can anyone recommend a stonechip or any similar product for spraying on primed, new metal, under wheel arches, etc?

    cheers

Most folks go with Upol Gravitex, or Raptor.
I've done both the bus wheel arches and the whole of the bug underside in tinted raptor:

I've got some Raptor but haven't used it yet. I've used Upol Gravitex in the past and it's fine. I think that it's just as important to get some zinc rich primer on first, especially the wheel arches and preferably as a 2K epoxy.

  6. I used black Raptor on the underside but the surface has to be spotless , i missed cleaning a length on the topside of the main chassis rail and it started peeling off after a couple of months - just something to be aware of ...

yea I will- I’ve been using spectral 2k epoxy primer which I really like, I’ll give it a good scuff then a couple of coats of primer first...

  8. Raptor recommended using Upol grip for overtop of powdercoat and difficult to reach areas as a surface prep

  9. I used one of fancy expensive aerosols for my 914 sill cover plates . Impressed but you only get 30 minutes once activated

  10. @docjohn Can you recommend a Zinc 2K?

@EggBoxes Have a look at the Jotun Barrier range, I've got the basic one but there are heavy duty versions.

Is it good practice to paint over raptor or gravitex or can it be left unpainted?

Raptor doesn't need to be over-painted (but can be). Both of the above pics are raptor tinted to the body colour.
