Just a reminder to everyone on here to keep your pride and joy locked up at night. Someone tried to break into my garage last night where 69 beetle is kept. Luckily they got one bolt off the door but the other one proved to difficult and they left empty handed. Whilst causing a nice little of damage to the garage doors. Gutting that they tried and also very relieved that they didn't get in. Just reminds me that there are people out there that will do this. And to be on your guard.
Be suspicious of strangers checking out your property. We have had a spate of doorstep sellers recently including 2 young chaps claiming to be ex army and needing help. They spoke hardly any English and when I asked British Army ? they said they were from Syria! All the time they were looking over my van parked on my driveway. Be on your guard is good advice. I feel with a mass influx of refugees we are likely to see more thefts as these people are desperate. The illegals may be getting in but its against the law for any employer to give them work. So they have no money. They cant earn money, so what do they do?
Luckily there's a few fancy T5's parked near my bus, they're worth loads more and dont need much maintenance. The middle aged blokes who own them don't have much go left in 'em , so they won't be watching out or care too much. They're my insurance policy
Glad they left empty handed @bezy Luckily I have 1 gate, 2 cars and 4 flat tyres protecting my resto and garage alarm will be delivered on Wednesday.
