Steering box

    Just give it a rub with a wire brush..comes up lovely and shiny....then keep it wiped over...its not exactly precision engineering inside.

Soon after I got my van I checked out my steering box and there was a tiny amount of oil on the casing, but so glad I checked under there as I noticed the rubber coupler was split and the reason for the imprecise steering. I topped up the box with gear oil and replaced the coupler, been fine ever since.

    Maple syrup would be a closer match provided you keep it in with some fresh seals from Simply Bearings or the Bearing Boys.
