Stand down folks. I managed to find a Bosch item for 55 quid next day delivered. That'll do me

 

Turns out the promised Bosch starter was out of stock so they sent an aftermarket item instead. I'm fairly sure it will be junk from past experience so if anyone does have a decent item going - operating or in need of refurb - that would be good.

 

i have , a refurbished Bosch if you can find one will be £130 or so , I’ll look more in the morning, I have one refurbished and one not I believe

 

Either would work. I could get the non-refurbed refurbed

 

Which did you order , or which do you need early or late, long or short shaft ?

 

Its short shaft (I think) that I need (for a Type1 rather than Type4 engine).

180mm flywheel. Early type release bearing...

I've seen some SMs with 7 teeth and some with 9?

 

Any joy on the starters?
