Solenoid. Ring connectors on the stud that doesn't have a copper braid to the starter itself. Spade(s) on the two spades. If you have a weird solenoid like me with two sets of spade terminals, use the top ones. I don't know what the bottom ones are for but they don't work for starting.
On the two spade ones they are the same, its where I connect a wire used to tell my computer to ignore some sensors when its cranking. Which also doubles as a remote start if you pull apart a bullet connector.
To be clear, mine has four spades, two pairs, one at the top , one at the bottom. They don't do the same thing.
Everything with a ring terminal on the longer stud, spade from loom on spade. If you have a hot start relay the wire from the loom will go to the relay trigger it and the switched 12v from the relay will plug onto the spade.
@zedders thanks for info, I've got a new loom with no wiring details so trying to tag each wire as to where they go
Big chunky red and white.. possibly 2 depending on year..onto the post with a nut.. red and black (slightly less chunky from the ignition ) onto the spade connector.. if you haven't found it.. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
This is what came with my new loom 72 - 79 rear loom. Got it from Scofields its a wolfsberg west. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
I think those two in the photo are connected at the base so shouldn't matter. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
@iblaze did you buy a complete loom? and if so would you be able to copy the wiring diagram for me, a bit cheeky but everything helps.
